Rhodes State Tower in Columbus
The city of Columbus serves as the capital of Ohio. It has many homes for sale columbus ohio, landmarks and even attractions like zoos and amusement parks. One of the city’s landmarks is the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower. The tower was completed and has been occupied in the year 1974. It is a 699 foot building that is recognized as the tallest building in the city of Columbus and is the fifth tallest in all of Ohio.
There are about 4000 employees that are working in the building. It is named after the Ohio’s governor, James Rhodes and costs about $66 million. Originally, the building’s height is supposed to be taller by about 46 meter but was changed with a last minute decision. That explains the building’s odd shaped. In the past, the Rhodes State Tower houses the courtroom and the offices for the Ohio Supreme court before it was transferred to the Judiciary Annex.
